Programme Overview
The Early Careers Programme (ECP) is designed for recent graduates and early professionals looking to gain hands-on experience at one of the world’s most influential multistakeholder organizations.

Open to candidates with up to three years of cumulative work experience (including internships), the programme offers an immersive introduction to the Forum’s mission, global initiatives, and collaborative way of working.
Participants will contribute directly to live projects, work alongside experts and thought leaders, and build the skills, networks, and insights needed for a career in the global public-interest sector.
Programme Details
Employment and Duration
- Contract: Full-time, onsite
- Length: 6 months
- Locations: Geneva, Beijing, Mumbai, or Tokyo
- Work Authorization: Visa support is available only for roles based in Geneva
Compensation
- Geneva: CHF 4,500/month (salary + medical allowance)
- Beijing: CNY 12,500/month
- Mumbai: INR 91,666/month
- Tokyo: JPY 333,333/month
Areas of Work
Participants will be placed in one of the Forum’s key thematic or operational areas based on their background, interests, and organizational priorities.
1. Thematic & Content Areas
Applicants may select one primary area of interest:
- Advanced Manufacturing & Supply Chains: Innovation and resilience in global production systems
- AI, Frontier Technologies & Digital Innovation: Supporting responsible AI and emerging technologies
- Economic Growth, Equity & Inclusion / Human Capital & Skills: Building fair, sustainable growth and future-ready talent ecosystems
- Energy & Materials: Advancing secure and sustainable energy transitions
- Financial & Monetary Systems: Strengthening inclusive and stable financial systems
- Regional Agenda, Trade & Geopolitics: Enhancing cooperation and regional development
- Health & Healthcare: Expanding innovation and system resilience in global health
- Sustainability, Nature & Climate: Driving environmental stewardship and climate action
- Urban Transformation: Shaping inclusive, sustainable cities
Within these areas, participants may work in one of the following functions:
- Stakeholder Engagement – Managing relationships with partners and external stakeholders
- Project, Content & Policy Management – Research, initiative management, and thought leadership development

Participants may also contribute to the Forum’s core operational functions, including:
