Education Cannot Wait (ECW)—the UN’s global fund for education in emergencies and protracted crises—has announced the creation of its 2026 Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Internship Roster, opening a highly competitive pathway for emerging professionals to gain real-world experience at the heart of global education response.
Designed for early-career professionals and postgraduate students, this internship offers a rare opportunity to engage directly in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and evidence generation for education programmes serving children and young people affected by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters.
Hosted by UNICEF, ECW works to ensure that education remains a critical lifeline in the most challenging humanitarian contexts. Interns joining the M&E team will be fully embedded within the ECW Secretariat, contributing to the evidence base that shapes one of the world’s leading global funds for education in emergencies.

Interns will support a portfolio of ECW-funded programmes, with assignments tailored to their language skills, regional experience, and analytical strengths.
