Internship Opportunities

1. People & Operations Intern

Role Overview:

Work closely with the Operations team to enhance Catalyst Now’s internal processes, people systems, and organizational culture.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of team members and volunteers
  • Maintain internal documents, digital tools, and filing systems
  • Support internal communications and staff engagement activities
  • Organize meetings, events, and team check-ins
  • Research best practices in HR, remote management, and nonprofit operations
  • Support with data collection, reporting, and administrative tasks

Ideal Candidate:

  • Current student or recent graduate in HR, Organizational Development, Nonprofit Management, or related fields
  • Highly organized, communicative, and proactive
  • Proficient in digital platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Airtable, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
  • Deeply committed to social change and global equity

2. Intern – Catalyst Local Chapters

Role Overview:

Support Catalyst Now’s vibrant grassroots chapters with coordination, communications, and knowledge sharing.Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate virtual meetings and activities across local chapters
  • Assist with onboarding and communicating with chapter leaders and members
  • Develop content for newsletters, updates, and toolkits
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange and storytelling among chapter teams
  • Track progress and document chapter-led initiatives
  • Research partnerships and map local ecosystems

Ideal Candidate:

  • Background/interest in community development, grassroots organizing, or civic engagement
  • Skilled in communication, research, and relationship-building
  • Experience with digital community tools (Trello, Canva, WhatsApp, Miro)
  • Fluent in English (additional languages like French, Spanish, or Arabic are a plus)
