Laboratorian

REPORTING TO THE QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL;

1. Check the physical characteristics of products on the production line.
2. Perform basic quality analysis of products, semi products and raw materials
3. Prepare daily activity reports for submission to the Quality Control Officer
4. Liaise with Production Supervisors on quality related matters
5. Clean-up spills by proper methods (Housekeeping)
6. Carry out record keeping for the laboratory activities.
7. Perform simple repairs and/or calibrations of equipment.
8. Prepare reagents for laboratory tests where required.
9. Collect samples of products, semi products and raw materials for analysis.
10. Carry out all the cleaning of laboratory apparatus after any laboratory analysis and tests.
11. Adhere to the health and safety and QMS guidelines at all times

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• UACE (A-level with a combination in chemistry is a must) or a Diploma in chemical engineering or any other related science discipline
• 1 year relevant work experience in a manufacturing or similar set up.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

• Must have excellent professional, integrity, confidentiality, analytical, innovative, report writing, communication, team work and customer care skills. Should have a positive attitude, be self-driven, flexible, results focused, work under pressure with minimum supervision and the ability to work for long hours
