The facility-based Counsellor will be responsible for ensuring HTS targets are met, all positive clients who tested positive are linked into care, and are supported to start ART. They shall also support counseling to all HIV clients in care to increase the identification of diagnosed HIV-positive children and partners in the assigned facility. They shall provide quality psycho-social support to all clients in care to ensure that they are virally suppressed and retained in care. The counselor will also facilitate facility-to-community linkage and follow-up of clients to support retention.
Job Requirements:
- A Diploma in Counselling and Guidance
- A certificate in HIV Counseling is an added advantage.
Job-related experience and knowledge:
- Knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS care issues
- Knowledge of Ministry of health and local government systems
