Job Description: You will be responsible for:
- To receive, attend to and direct clients efficiently to enhance performance of the Optical unit.
- Assist clients in selecting frames according to style and color, and ensure that frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
- Assist the supervisor in performing the general accounting functions of the Optical Unit
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the optical Unit.
- Maintain records of customer prescriptions, work orders, and payments.
- In co-ordination with the storekeeper, routinely check stock and ensure that all products on demand are stocked.
- Receive optical sales cash and reconcile with accounts at the end of an agreed period of time.
- Bank intact all funds that have been collected on a daily basis.
- Interact with customers to know their requirements and needs.
- Resolve conflicting and complex issues relating to customer services.
- Maintain and manage customer files and databases.
- Coordinate and collaborate with optical department team members to ensure quality services to customers.
- Assist customers in locating the required merchandise.
- Perform administrative duties such as submitting patient insurance information, and performing bookkeeping
- Perform any other official duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Business Administration or social sciences
- At least two years of practical experience in customer service with very good people management and communication skills.
- Knowledge in basic accounting will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with use of Microsoft Excel.
