Job Summary
The Deputy Head Teacher will be responsible for the general discipline of the school, offer administrative support to the Head Teacher, while overseeing day to day operations at the school.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• To contribute towards MVHS strategic planning process to ensure sufficient resources for accomplishing strategic and tactical objectives.
• To contribute towards teaching and learning processes at MVHS ensuring that learner-centered methods are adopted and upheld.
• To develop and implement policies, procedures and strategies that ensures effective and ministry compliant management of MVHS
• To support the Head Teacher in the development and implementation of the MVHS master budget, ensuring that resources are well managed and trust maintained.
• Safeguard and promote welfare of learners and ensure that all stake holders are aware of policies/ code of conduct on child protection and safeguarding.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Holder of a recognized degree qualification in Education,
• A master’s degree in either Education Management or Public Administration and Management from a recognized academic institution
• Registered as a Graduate Teacher with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
• A minimum of six (6) years of proven teaching experience in a Secondary School
• A relevant Prior experience in school administration is a must.

The Person should:
• Possess excellent written and public speaking skills.
• Have Computer literacy skills
• Be a Good team player, results oriented, self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision and for long hours under extreme pressure.
