Sugar Corporation of Uganda Limited is part of Mehta Group of Companies and the leading producer of mill white Sugar in the Country. It’s located at 45kms on Kampala — Jinja Highway, Buikwe District.
We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fillthe following positions in Automobile workshop/Cane transport.

(1): Maintenance Officers: (1 post)

• Qualification: – Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Auto mobile or Agricultural Engineering.

• Experience: 3- 5 years in a relevant field.

(2): Supervisor Maintenance (1 post)

• Qualification: Diploma in Auto mobile Engineering.

• Experience: 4 years hand on practical experience in a relevant field.

(3): Mechanics (3 posts);

• Qualification: – Diploma in Automobile or Advanced Certificate in Motor Vehicle mechanics.

• Experience: – 3 years in carrying out major overhauling of engines, Transmissions, hydraulic systems of wheel tractors and other hydraulic equipment.

(4): Welder (1 post):

• Qualification: – Certificate in Welding & Fabrication.

• Experience: 3- 5 years hand on practical experience.

(5): Auto Electrician (3 posts):

• Qualification: – Diploma/Certificate in Auto Electrical & motor vehicle wiring.

• Experience: – 3-5 years hands on experience.

(6): Grader Operator (1 post):

• Qualification : Valid driving permit with required class

• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years in operating CAT/TOTA graders.

(7): Haulage Tractor Drivers (10 posts):

• Qualification: – Valid driving permit class “H”.

• Experience: – 3-5 years in driving cane haulage tandem tractors

(8): Cameco Operator (1 post):

• Qualification: – Class H with experience not less than three (3) years in field of mechanical cane loading using Cameco.

(9): Bell Operator (1 post):

• Qualification: – Class H with experience not less than two (2) years in field of mechanical cane loading using bell loaders.

(10): Tata Lorry Drivers (2 posts:

• Qualification: – CM & CH with 3years and above experience in transporting sugar cane.

Remunerations: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
