About the role

The role of the Head of School is to provide strategic leadership and effective management for 7Hills International School, in line with the school’s vision and mission. This includes ensuring the continuous improvement of the school and delivering high quality education for all its students. At the same time, the new Head of School is expected to guide the strategic direction of the school, shaping the school’s future, as well as managing the growth of the school within the school’s budget and ensuring that the school’s ethos – Adventure in Learning – remains at the core of the school’s everyday running.

Important

  • Internationally recognised qualified teacher with at least 5 years’ experience working in an international setting
  • At least 2 years’ senior leadership experience in an international secondary school,
  • Experience of strategic leadership
  • Ability to manage and experience in actively building the capacity of an international team of teachers and staff
  • Experience in financial management and/or oversight
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Possesses a growth mindset and a commitment to investing in one’s own professional development
  • Belief in, and experience in delivering, experiential learning

Desirable

  • IMYC or IGCSE experience
  • Experience in marketing and/or communications, including growing student numbers in a school
  • Previous experience working or living in Africa
