This isn’t your average internship. The Mastercard Foundation Graduate Internship Program provides a full-time, non-extendable position where you’ll be assigned to a team to support key projects and initiatives. You should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution and a demonstrated interest in youth development, social impact, and inclusive growth in Africa.

Here are some of the core requirements:

  • Location: You must be eligible to work in one of the seven African countries where the Mastercard Foundation has offices: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and Uganda.
  • Community Involvement: A history of active involvement in community projects or extracurricular activities is highly valued.
  • Academic and Personal Attributes: Strong academic performance, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are essential.
  • Exclusivity: This is a full-time opportunity, and interns cannot be engaged in any other form of work during the internship.
  • For Mastercard Foundation Scholars: Alumni of the Scholars Program are eligible to apply, but they must not be currently enrolled in a program of study or another Foundation initiative.
