Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator- Health & Nutrition, the Maternal Infant Young Child and Adolescent Nutrition (MIYCAN) Facilitator will support the implementation of community nutrition activities integrated into mother care (MC) and male change agent (MCA) groups. Provide health and nutrition education and counseling at the health facilities, integrated outreach posts, and general food distribution (GFD) points.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Result area #1: Integrate Maternal Infant Young child and adolescent nutrition in mother care and male change agent groups
Key Result area #2: Implement the care group modules through the provision of timely lessons to the group members Key
Result area #3: Provide integrated health and nutrition outreach to all health facility catchment areas

Education & Experience

  • A Degree Diploma in Nutrition, Public Health, Community Health, Nursing or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar setting is required.
  • Have related working experience in humanitarian contexts (conflict/insecure contexts) preferably.
  • Frequent field visits and interaction with project beneficiaries
  • Must have motorcycle riding skills with a valid and clean permit and be willing to access communities by motorcycle
