JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
The Officer will be responsible for providing effective and efficient technical and administrative support to enable the smooth functioning of the SACCO ICT system to facilitate business continuity in the URA SACCO office.
The Officer will drive the use of technology in the organization, helping implement IT standards and policies, and provide technical support, security controls and solutions to meet the needs of the SACCO. The role will support the network infrastructure, end user support, management of software applications, hardware equipment among other routine IT and administrative tasks.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS |
Essential requirements: | a) Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer science or Information Systems.
b) At least 2 years’ experience in providing IT support in a reputable organization with a reasonable number of users |
Desirable requirements: | a) Microsoft certified system Administrator (MCSA).More opportunities
b) CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) c) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISP) d) Oracle Certified Administrator e) CompTIA A+ f) ITIL Certified |
KNOWLEDGE
a) The job holder must have adequate knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), National IT Act, Information communication policy and the Incident management policy b) Risk management and assurance c) Change management & Quality assurance d) Policy management |
SPECIAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
a) The job holder must have strong administration skills and good interpersonal skills with exceptional ability to pay attention to detail. b) S/he must be self-driven, a good communicator, a logical thinker (strong troubleshooting skills) and assertive in nature. c) S/he must be able to use the appropriate tools for repairing software, hardware and peripheral equipment of a system. d) S/he must be customer service orientated, responsible and accountable with proven ability to work and perform well under pressure
