The Children and Youth Major Group to the UN Environment Programme (CYMG) is a globally recognised umbrella mechanism representing youth networks, organisations and individuals dedicated to addressing the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. As the formal youth engagement mechanism to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), CYMG plays a vital role in advocating for the inclusion, empowerment, and meaningful participation of young people in global environmental governance and the environmental dimension of sustainable development agenda.

1.Graphic Design Officer
– Design graphics, infographics, and visual materials for campaigns and events.
– Collaborate with Social Media and Communications teams to translate ideas into visuals.
– Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, etc.) is a plus.

– Work under the Communications Lead to create strategies to build an active, inclusive CYMG community.
– Drive engagement on platforms like Slack, mailing lists, and constituency calls.
– Welcome and onboard new volunteers.
– Foster connections between members and teams and celebrate member contributions.

– Help manage communication platforms (e.g., Slack, mailing lists, calls) and encourage member participation.
– Assist with onboarding new members and connecting them to relevant teams or projects.
– Gather and share stories, updates, and initiatives that celebrate members and strengthen internal communication.
– Contribute ideas and feedback to improve engagement strategies and community-building efforts.
– Support the Community Engagement Lead in fostering an active, welcoming CYMG community.
– Help manage communication platforms (e.g., Slack, mailing lists, calls) and encourage member participation.
