The Resilience Project, a youth-led organization focused on mental health and climate justice, is expanding its team and calling for volunteers to help empower young activists and prevent burnout. The organization, which aims to help young people in the climate movement build resilience, is looking to fill two key remote roles: a Marketing & Communications Volunteer and a Funding Research & Outreach Volunteer.
The climate movement is often powered by passionate young people, but the demanding nature of the work can lead to mental exhaustion and burnout. The Resilience Project works to address this issue head-on, providing tools and support to help activists maintain their well-being while continuing their crucial work. These new volunteer roles are designed to help the organization scale its impact.
Key Volunteer Roles
The Marketing & Communications Volunteer role is ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio and gain experience in the field. The volunteer will assist with creating engaging content for social media, writing website and blog copy, and researching new ways to reach a wider audience. This position requires a commitment of 6–8 hours per week, with flexible hours within the Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. GMT window.
The Funding Research & Outreach Volunteer will help the organization grow its network of supporters and partners. The person in this role will research potential funders and donors, track grant opportunities, and compile lists of organizations for potential partnerships. This role offers flexible hours and is perfect for someone interested in gaining experience in fundraising and partnership-building.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteers will have the opportunity to make a real impact by helping to support young changemakers globally. They’ll also gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing, youth-led organization, building their skills and portfolio along the way. All positions are remote and flexible, allowing volunteers to work on their own schedule.
The Resilience Project’s work is vital to the long-term sustainability of the climate movement. By focusing on the mental health of activists, the organization helps to ensure that young people can continue to do their essential work without sacrificing their well-being.
