Job Title: Supervisor Pilot Paper Plant

Reports to: Director Industrial Production Systems

Vacancies:  One (1) Positions.

Age 30-50 years.

Job Purpose:

To Provide value addition to local fibre materials and development of competitive Pulp and paper products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement good manufacturing procedures in Pilot Paper Plant.
  • Work in collaboration with other Scientists, Engineers and other related disciplines to design new pulp and paper product applications.
  • Undertake national surveys on recycling, packaging and environmental management of bio-degradable waste in regard to the green economy.
  • Prepare records and inventories for the handmade Pulp and Paper Pilot Plant.
  • Participate in relevant Institutional collaborative initiatives.
  • Coordinating preparation of materials for research and production trials of new pulp and paper products.
  • Sourcing funds for different projects under the unit.

Qualifications Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Wood Science and Technology or any other related field.
  • At least Five (5) years of professional experience in a paper related field and four (4) years experience at a Supervision level.
  • Capacity to work under minimum supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge in innovation and creativity
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
