Internship Opportunity 1: Partnership Support Intern
Role Overview: Enhance the UNDP Kenya Office’s capacity in partnership development and stakeholder engagement. Support critical donor relations and communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation/editing of partnership briefs, concept notes, presentations, and reports.
- Assist with stakeholder mapping and analysis.
- Maintain and update databases, contact lists, and partnership records.
- Participate in and document strategic meetings and events.
- Contribute to communication materials showcasing UNDP’s impact.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s or Bachelor’s program in International Relations, Development Studies, Communications, Political Science, or related fields.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with international development or donor coordination (preferred).
- Ability to work independently in a multicultural setting.

Internship Opportunity 2: Governance & Inclusive Growth Intern
Role Overview: Support programmatic and policy-related tasks in governance, public sector reform, social inclusion, and economic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and policy analysis on governance, civic engagement, public finance, and inclusive growth.
- Support program implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Draft knowledge products, concept notes, case studies, and briefing documents.
- Organize dialogues, stakeholder consultations, and learning events.
- Track program progress and compile results-based reports with internal teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Enrollment in or recent completion of studies in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Development Studies, or similar.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks or inclusive economic strategies.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate information clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a keen interest in data-driven decision-making.
