Purpose of the Job

To maintain, repair and service all the City Council’s vehicle, plant and equipment.

Key Performance Areas of the Job

• Inspection of all different fabricates vehicles, buses, trucks, heavy duty equipment and diagnoses all defects.

• Uses relevant tools and equipment: to perform the repairs, maintenance and service needed.

• Adhere to all safety regulations promote safety and sound housekeeping.

• Perform all the administrative functions as required.

• Emergency repair and maintenance.

• Scheduled repair and maintenance, planning and decision making.

• Carry out pre delivery services on all new vehicles.

Requirements of the Job

Qualification requirements:

Grade 12 passed with Trade Diploma with specialization in Motor Mechanic (petrol/diesel).

Experience required:

A minimum of three (3) years job related experience.

Legal requirements:

A Code C/CE driver’s license with passenger, and dangerous goods permit (PGD).

Salary: N$344,892.00 pa

Housing Allowance: N$137,952.00 pa

Transport Allowance: N$30,216.00 p.a

Municipal Service Allowance: N$23,028.00 p.a
