Uis Tin Mining Company (Pty) Ltd, an equal opportunity employer situated in the Erongo Region, hereby invites competent and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Junior Cook and Cleaner.

Reports to: Senior Cook and Cleaner

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking and preparation of daily meals for site staff members.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, following sanitation protocols.

• Keep common areas clean and tidy, including bathrooms, dining and sleeping quarters.

• Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks within camp areas, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.

• Wash and maintain linens and workwear if required.

• Store cooking hardware and products safely and neatly.

• Clean the core yard area and offices as required.

• Empty trash bins and restock cleaning supplies for kitchen and ablution facilities.

Safety, Health and Environmental

• Report accidents, incidents and near misses.

• Comply with the company’s SHER regulations.

• Participate in risk assessments when performing routine tasks.

• Assist with incident investigations.

• Ensure housekeeping in the area of responsibility.

Key Requirements

• Grade 10 certificate.

• 1 year of experience in a similar role.

• Knowledge of hygiene and food regulations.

• Relevant qualification would be an added advantage.

• Driver’s licence would be advantageous.

• A valid police clearance certificate, not older than 6 months.
