PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To support sectional activities in the Maintenance Section.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS OF THE JOB

• Planning and site supervision of HV/MV maintenance related projects.

• Support operations functions – carrying out switching operations, training and recommending personnel for switching authorization.

• Planning for network refurbishment and upgrades and implementation of the maintenance strategies and plans.

• Provides input into yearly budget.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

National Diploma: Power Engineering/Electrical Engineering or N6 Electrical Diploma

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of five (5) years experience in high voltage and Medium voltage electrical plant operations and maintenance environment with voltage levels of up to 66kV or higher.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS – PROFESSIONAL STATUS:

Registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as Engineering Technician or higher

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:

A code B/BE driver’s license.

Basic Salary: N$497,844.00 pa

Housing Allowance: N$199,140.00 pa

Transport Allowance: N$30,216.00 pa

Municipal Allowance: N$23,028 pa
