The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is inviting applications for its Internship Programme within the Office of Youth and Women (OYW) at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
This exciting opportunity allows young professionals to contribute to transforming agrifood systems — fostering innovation, inclusion, and sustainability to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
About the Programme
The FAO’s Office of Youth and Women (OYW) plays a crucial role in advancing gender equality, youth empowerment, and leadership development across all FAO initiatives.
- OYW ensures that women and youth:
- Act as change-makers both inside and outside FAO.
- Lead innovative projects that promote equality and sustainability.
- Participate in initiatives such as the FAO Women’s Committee, FAO Youth Committee, and the World Food Forum (WFF) — a youth-led global movement launched in 2021 to inspire solutions for sustainable food systems.
The World Food Forum (WFF) has become a global hub for youth engagement in innovation, science, and technology — aligning with the UN Food Systems Summit and contributing directly to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
